Captive Collars® Shipping Policy
📦 Production & Processing Times
Every piece is handcrafted with care in my studio, so please allow time for production. Current production times reflect my studio schedule and the level of care taken with each piece.
- Express Production & Shipping: Delivery estimates are shown at checkout when available.
- USPS Ground: Production may take up to 2 weeks. Shipping is via USPS Ground (2-6 business days).
🚚 Shipping & Delivery
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email. Please allow 24–48 hours for updates to appear.
- Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed.
- Select the shipping service that best fits your timeline.
- We recommend ordering early for holidays, special occasions, or time-sensitive events.
Express Shipping Options
Express shipping only covers carrier transit time, not production. Delivery time is not guaranteed. Estimated delivery is displayed at checkout.
📬 Address Changes
Once an order has been processed and tracking information is sent, we cannot change the shipping address. Please double-check your details before submitting your order.
📦 Late, Lost, or Damaged Shipments
After your order leaves our studio, we are no longer in control of its handling. We are not responsible for:
- Lost, stolen, or misdelivered packages
- Delays caused by the carrier, customs, weather, or holidays
- Damage incurred in transit
If your tracking shows "Delivered" but you have not received your package, please contact your local post office or UPS directly to file a claim.
🌎 International Orders / Customs & Duties
Customs fees, import taxes, duties, brokerage, and VAT are not included in your order total.
Canada – Important Shipping Notice:
Canada now charges import taxes on goods purchased from the USA. These are not additional fees from us—they are imposed by Canadian customs.
For more information, contact your local customs office. Jewelry is often taxed at a higher rate.
UPS Shipping: UPS deliveries may also include a brokerage fee, which is the customer’s responsibility.
Customs delays are beyond our control and may extend delivery times.
📮 Returned or Refused Packages
If a package is returned to us, the customer is responsible for contacting us to pay Shipping & Handling to have the package re-shipped.
We do not accept forced returns. If we receive a returned package and do not hear from the customer within 60 days, the order and contents will be disposed of.
📦 Shipping to P.O. Boxes & APO/FPO Addresses
- We ship to P.O. Boxes, APO, and FPO addresses via USPS and UPS Ground.
- APO/FPO shipments outside the continental U.S. may take longer, similar to international first-class mail.
