Dear Captive Collars Family,

 

I want to let you know that our shop will be closed to ordering from September 6th through September 14th.

 

Since opening Captive Collars on October 9th, 2017, it has been the experience of a lifetime. I’ve met so many amazing people and have been able to touch lives through my jewelry designs—something that is truly special to me.

 

During this time, it’s been all work and there has been no time off. This year I extended production times and offered rush options to take time off, it often left some customers frustrated if they didn’t read the checkout details. Even more so when I took a long weekend off. This also caused a lot of stress for me when returning to catch up on all the emails and orders.

 

To create a better balance, I’ve decided that moving forward the shop will fully close when I take time off. During this downtime, I’ll also be working on new designs that I’m excited to share with you! I believe this change will improve the experience for everyone, and I truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and ongoing support.

 

Looking ahead to the holidays—I won’t be taking time off, but I also won’t be pushing 18+ hour days anymore. Please remember:

Order early to avoid last-minute stress.

 

Always check shipping times at checkout—I keep these updated and have never missed a production deadline.

 

USPS can be unpredictable during the holiday season. If you’re ordering late, I strongly recommend choosing UPS Express. If you choose standard shipping at the last minute, please understand that the risk is yours.
